Cormier was reassigned to the Florida Everblades of the ECHL on Sunday. Cormier was brought up Saturday to back up Sergei Bobrovsky due to Anthony Stolarz being unavailable with an illness. Panthers' Evan Cormier: Recalled from ECHL
The Panthers recalled Cormier from ECHL Florida on Saturday, according to Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site. Cormier will replace Anthony Stolarz (illness) on the roster and back up Sergei Bobrovsky on Saturday versus Tampa Bay. Cormier has seen AHL and ECHL action this season. Panthers' Evan Cormier: Heads to AHL
Cormier was released from his professional tryout agreement and assigned to AHL Charlotte on Sunday. Cormier signed a one-year, AHL contract with the Checkers in July. He posted a 10-20-3 record with a 3.19 GAA and a .908 save percentage in 35 appearances with ECHL Kalamazoo.
