Detmers (3-6) took the loss Saturday against the Mariners, allowing five runs on four hits and four walks with three K's in 3.2 innings. He was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake after the start.

Detmers started the season as one of the Angels' top starters and garnered wins in each of his first three starts, striking out 26 batters with two runs allowed across 17.1 innings. However, he hasn't gotten in the win column since and has yielded at least three runs in eight straight starts. Outside of a decent 8.9 K/9 across 40.1 innings, nothing has been working for Detmers lately, allowing 10 long balls and 20 walks over that stretch. The 24-year-old was a reliable arm for Los Angeles the past two seasons and it's possible that a Triple-A stint could help the southpaw regain some confidence and find his previous form. For now, Detmers will give up his spot in the rotation and on the 26-man roster. A corresponding move has yet to be announced.

Lively (5-2) earned the win against the Nationals on Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk with four strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Lively fired three scoreless frames before allowing two runs in the fourth inning and left the game just shy of a quality start after allowing a two-out single to Lane Thomas in the sixth. This was Lively's fourth win in as many games, and he has not allowed more than three runs in any of his nine starts this season. Lively will take a 2.84 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 47:15 K:BB into a road matchup against the Marlins next weekend.

Parker (4-3) took the loss to the Guardians on Saturday, allowing three runs on four hits and four walks with five strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Parker loaded the bases and allowed a two-run single to Kyle Manzardo in the first inning and surrendered another run in the third when Jose Ramirez scored on a wild pitch. Parker's four walks were a season high, but he was still able to pitch into the sixth and has not allowed more than three runs in any of his nine starts this season. Parker will take a 3.60 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 43:12 K:BB into a home matchup against Atlanta next week.

Suarez's (hand) X-rays came back negative Saturday but there's swelling in his left thumb and it's unclear if he'll be able to make his next scheduled start, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Fantasy managers can take a deep breath knowing that Suarez avoided significant injury after being hit by a comebacker during his start Saturday. While it's uncertain at this point if Suarez will recover in time for his next start -- which is scheduled for June 8 -- the 29-year-old is expected to avoid the injured list after Saturday's scare. He's been one of the best pitchers in baseball this season, boasting a 9-1 record with a 1.70 ERA across 74.0 innings.

Weathers (3-5) took the loss to the Rangers on Saturday, allowing four runs on nine hits and no walks with 11 strikeouts over six innings.

Weathers opened with two scoreless frames before allowing two runs in each of the third and fourth innings. Weathers struck out the side in his sixth and final inning to finish with a season-high 11 strikeouts, but nine hits allowed also represented his highest total in 2024. Through 12 starts, Weathers has posted a 3.41 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 64:20 K:BB and tentatively lines up for a home matchup against the Guardians next weekend

Lorenzen (3-3) earned the win against the Marlins on Saturday, allowing five hits and two walks with seven strikeouts over 6.1 shutout innings.

After allowing the first two hitters he faced to reach base, Lorenzen settled in and held the Marlins in check for his fourth straight quality start. Lorenzen has gone at least six innings in eight of his nine starts this season and now owns a 2.96 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 44:26 K:BB through 54.2 innings. Lorenzen offers eligibility at starting pitcher and relief pitcher and will look to stay hot in a home matchup against the Giants next weekend.

Brooks allowed seven runs on seven hits and a walk over 4.1 innings in a no-decision against Atlanta. He struck out one.

Five of the seven runs charged to Brooks came in Atlanta's six-run fifth inning. The 34-year-old right-hander now sports a 5.82 ERA with a 1.62 WHIP and 10:6 K:BB over 21.2 innings -- he came into the day with a 3.63 ERA through his first three starts. Brooks will look for a better result in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week at home versus Toronto.

Sale allowed eight runs on nine hits and a walk over four innings against the A's on Saturday. He struck out four.

It was a rough day for Sale, who allowed six runs in his first two innings before Brent Rooker added two more with a home run in the fourth. Sale hadn't allowed more than one run in six straight starts prior to Saturday while recording eight or more strikeouts in each of his last five outings. Overall, the veteran left-hander is 8-1 on the season with a 3.06 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 82:10 K:BB across 67.2 innings. Sale will look to right the ship in his next start, currently scheduled for next week in Washington.

Gasser didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the White Sox, allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out three in five innings.

All three of the runs against Gasser came via the home-run ball Saturday -- an Andrew Benintendi solo shot in the third inning followed by a two-run blast off the bat of Gavin Sheets in the fourth. It's just the second time in five starts that Gasser's allowed more than one run. Overall, the left-hander is 2-0 with a 2.57 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 16 strikeouts while issuing just one walk through his first 28 innings. Gasser's currently lined up for a road matchup with the Tigers in his next outing.

Suarez was removed from Saturday's game against the Cardinals with a left hand contusion after being struck by a 106.1 MPH comebacker in the second inning, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Suarez didn't allow a baserunner and struck out two hitters over two innings.

Early reports indicate that Suarez is only dealing with a bruised throwing hand after being hit by a comebacker off the bat of Alec Burleson on Saturday. After Suarez's two perfect innings, Jose Ruiz will take over on the mound. The Phillies will likely continue to evaluate Suarez throughout the evening to ensure that the injury is merely a contusion and nothing long term. Thankfully for Suarez managers, the Phillies have back-to-back days off next week and the ace's next start is scheduled for June 8.
